Business Solutions with Chiltern Business Training
What is Chiltern Business Training at Central Bedfordshire College?
Chiltern Business Training is an initiative at Central Bedfordshire College that has been set up to focus on all College dealings with employers, business and industry.
This is a very important area for the College: we estimate that around 60% of learners this year are in employment.
Chiltern Business Training provides a ‘gateway’ into the College for employers, to make the process of finding information about training and booking courses with the College easy.
We aim to work with organisations to offer training that develops a more productive, efficient and motivated workforce.
The foundations of Chiltern Business Training are built on the College’s years of experience working with hundreds of employers in the region.
Why was Chiltern Business Training set up?
- To develop further our good working practices with employers and to ensure that their training needs are met by the College.
- To ensure we respond to the needs of businesses and their training requirements, efficiently and effectively
- To proactively promote the College’s training and courses to business and industry
- To provide a ‘gateway’ for employers to access the wide range of training across the College – via a dedicated website, e-mail and contact centre advisors
- To monitor changes in employers’ and industry’s training and business requirements, and to help the College respond efficiently and effectively
- To explore new and improved ways of delivering training for employers that are more flexible and responsive, for example distance or on-line learning packages
- To work with a variety of partner organisations to advise on future strategy for delivering skills for employers
- The unit comprises a dedicated contact centre, client advisors, a customer relationship management system, account management (sales) and marketing including a website, direct marketing, PR, events and sales support.
What do we do operationally?
- Meet with employers and organisations to understand their training needs and offer solutions
- Answer any enquiries via telephone, e-mail, the website and face-to-face, and take course bookings, and provide information and advice
- Use the customer relationship management system to respond to enquiries and calls effectively and efficiently, and to ensure we maximise all potential bookings
- Liaise with faculties and units across the College to facilitate communication with employers and the delivery of training programmes and courses
- Promote the benefits of using Chiltern Business Training and Central Bedfordshire College for training and our range of training provision. This will ensure that in the future Central Bedfordshire College continues to be a leading training provider of choice
In summary, Chiltern Business Training provides companies and learners with the very best in skills development and training solutions.
The Chiltern Business Training team aim is to be responsive, proactive and professional in our dealings with all our customers.
