Description
Football is the most popular global sport, with an estimated 25%
of the world’s population being football supporters. In
the United Kingdom, the football market is worth billions of pounds,
with the game possessing an unprecedented hold on the nation’s
economic, social and cultural life.
This course is ideal for those with a genuine interest in football,
giving you the opportunity to undertake work-based learning that
is very relevant to the football industry. You will study a variety
of subjects including: leisure and sport management, coaching,
the role of football in society, plus broader aspects of sport.

Progression
On successful completion of this course, you may progress to the
final year of the BA (Hons) Football Studies degree at the University
of Bedfordshire. Your career options may typically include: football
administration, development and coaching.
Entry requirements
You should hold a Level 3 qualification in Sport or a related
subject (eg a National Diploma or A Levels), but candidates from
other academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Assessment
Assessment varies for each module and is carried out through observation,
completing assignments and by examination.
