Training

Our training takes place at our Kingsland campus in Houghton Regis. We have three members of staff coaching on the programme, the head coach on the programme is myself, Colin Sharpe, and I am a UEFA B licensed coach and am working towards my A licence.
The other two members of the coaching staff are James Hatch, who is an experienced level 2 coach, and Dave Martindale, who is also a level 2 coach with 20 years' experience in the game. Both coaches will be looking to complete their level 3 this year.
At the college we have two three hour practical coaching sessions on a Monday and Tuesday afternoon held on one of our 4 pitches or one of the two seven-a-side pitches outside.
The sessions will be planned and lead by the Head coach and will focus on aspects of the game that we have just played. This will cover individual techniques, phases of play, small sided games and eleven vs. eleven games
Our home games are all recorded by students from our media department and are returned to me on Friday, the players are then invited in to review the game and their performance. This can be done individually, as a group e.g. back four, or the whole team / squad.
We travel to the games in one of our three mini buses and all drivers are fully insured to drive matches.
