Your study options
The first decision you will need to make is whether you wish to study English on its own, combine it with studying another subject at the same time or, if your English is good enough, study a subject of your choice, without taking English classes at all. If you are uncertain about the standard of your English, please don’t worry. We are here to help you. When you get here, if you are taking a course without studying English and find you need help with your English skills after all, this can be arranged, providing enough time is available on your timetable.

A popular choice with international students is the English as a Foreign Language International Foundation Course (EFL). This is a one year full-time course, which prepares you for studying at a British University in the subject of your choice with English Language support. For full course details, please click in the list to the left.

Another popular choice is English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). You will be assessed on your level of English when you arrive and placed on the appropriate level course. This course is ideal preparation for further study at College, including our exciting new range of Foundation Degrees – these are university level courses which are valuable qualifications in their own right. You can top them up to a full Honours Degree if you wish with a further year of study.

Foundation Degrees are available in a variety of subjects and full details are available by clicking the link in the list to the left. We also offer the international award-winning BA (Hons) Graphic Design for Print & New Media.
