When you arrive

On arrival in the UK, you should be ready to answer questions at Passport Control about your stay. You should have the following ready in your hand luggage to show the Entry Clearance Officer:

• A valid passport, visa if required and two recent photographs
• Entry clearance fee (non-refundable)
• Your relevant diplomas and other certificates (originals not photocopies)
• Your College acceptance letter, detailing your course, the duration and costs
• Evidence that you can cover the costs of your tuition fees, accommodation and living expenses
• Three months’ bank statements and evidence of government sponsorship if relevant
• Vaccination certificates and x-rays where required.

If the Entry Clearance Officer is satisfied with your documents he or she will stamp your passport with an Entry Clearance Stamp which will allow you to stay in the country for six months to up to two years depending on the length of your course.

Please note: You risk being sent home immediately if you do not have entry clearance and are refused entry to the UK.
